TAY SHA - Caddo Native American Art   {Handmade Stone Jewelry & Cultural Stonework​}

The following is the other type of Stone Art that I create - Contemporary Stone Jewelry with engraving of ancient traditional Caddo /Spiro designs.  These include pendant necklaces and chokers, as well as gorget necklaces.  Mostly these are finished with leather cord of various colors & thicknesses, and findings of silver or copper.  I have chosen to primarily use these designs from Caddo Pottery because of their beauty and the vast variety that was created over a span of 25 centuries by approximately 14 bands comprising the Caddo Nation, each with their own distinct designs.  Other engraving designs that have inspired my art, come from those found on ancient Caddo/Spiro shell, stonework & other discovered artifacts.  My art is created using only handtools (no power), rasps, files and sandpaper.
